Hi, My name is Andrés González

I´m 22 years old. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. At 15 years old I moved to Buenos Aires, (Argentina) with my family. I´m currently studying the 3rd year of my Industrial Design degree at UADE.

As an Industrial designer I find myself in a world where everything is a product, everything is design. Where already everything have been created but not everything have been well designed.  A world that is constantly rethinking the foundations of its civilization, its way of living, relate and interact with objects and their environments. I am an Industrial designer in an era of mass consumption and in a world with a new look, a look at the ecological, at the care of our planet, to the future. I want to be a designer of constant improvement, someone who always keeps going, who never gives up. I want to be an Industrial designer, but also an artist, a mechanic, passionate about his work. Help to change the world, the way of thinking of our society, the way of interacting with the objects that surround us. surround. I want to contribute my grain of sand. Go beyond limits, rules and conventions; Want to be brave.

The reason for me to study Industrial Design is because from a very young age I have always loved cars. Drawing them, know about its mechanics and the entire automotive world, especially Formula 1. I always wanted to study design Automotive, but because I did not find a career that specialized in this, I decided to study Industrial design since in a way cars belong to Industrial design/objects.

Studying this career has helped me understand the design of other types of objects and has formed me as a designer with knowledge in various areas and various products. I currently work part time in a mechanical workshop in Munro, where we build and repair replicas of cars.

This work has allowed me to know in depth the mechanics of cars and the design of the vehicles. themselves, in addition to the (manual) production process of a car. In this workshop I have learned to use different tools that have helped me as a designer, in addition to incorporating knowledge on how to really a car works, what are its parts, how each one works, why they are located in certain places, among others.
